About the Studio
The original art studio was established in Barnes, southwest London (England) in 1989 and relocated to Coombe Hill (near Kingston upon Thames) in 2005. This website was created in 1998 for the sole purpose of cataloguing online the studio's artwork as well as providing a regular update on recent work.
About the Artist: Gunter Paul Pueschel
Having spent all of my childhood in New York City witnessing at first hand the heyday of abstract expressionism, I qualified as an architect based on a Bauhaus-type of university education emphasising crafts, fine arts and design. As a Brit living in London for over 40 years I have been active as an architect and painter.
My artwork comprises oil and acrylic media on canvas and paper. Most of my design projects were overseas, and my relevant travels throughout Europe, the Middle East and Asia have inspired my paintings which provide a visual catalogue of colours and shapes summarising the underlying atmosphere of the places I have seen.
"Of course my paintings have architectural influence but rhey exude an expressive quality that is singularly 'me'."
Bringing together art and architecture, I also provide computer generated images (CGIs) indicating how a selection of artwork to be purchased would look like in a setting such as the client’s home or in a gallery at the early stage of exhibition planning. Click here for more information.
